To celebrate the release of the movie Bottle Shock, we have created a Food & Wine Lovers Dream Tour of the Napa Valley. This full day’s excursion is complete with a fabulous food & wine pairing at one of the two wineries that started it all for modern day California winemaking – Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.
You’re invited to take a look at this incredible day in the Napa Valley and a full day of tasting legacy wine.
This package includes transportation for six guests in our custom-built Navigator signature touring car. Up to ten hours of tour time is covered departing either the Wine Country or the Bay Area communities of San Francisco, Marin County, or Contra Costa County.
You’ll begin by toasting your trip with Schramsberg Vineyards vintage California sparkling wine.
Our last stop is for lunch and you have your choice of beautiful venues.
Cuvaison Estate Wines is another modern day marvel; a winery known for elegant, beautifully balanced wine produced in a variety of appellations, including Carneros and Mt. Veeder. Cuvaison also has a storied past with similar victories in international wine competition against French. Cuvaison offers what is called a progressive tasting while you stroll on a private tour of the production facility, wine library, and eventually the cave or terrace for a beautiful lunch of artisanal sandwiches.
Castello di Amorosa has also graciously partnered with Artisan Wine Tours for the celebration of Bottle Shock. The Castle, as the locals call it, was built literally brick by brick and stone by stone by Napa legend Daryl Sattui. The fourth generation California vintner is said to have spent more than $30 Million over fourteen years building this medieval replica castle on the vineyard grounds just south of Calistoga. The masonry, ironwork and woodwork was all fashioned by hand.
You are invited for a private tour of the estate, the grounds, the Great Hall, the barrel room, and the Enoteca where you will be served a scrumptious charcuterie paired with the limited production wines.
It’s a full day of entertainment, laughter, culinary excellence, stories, characters, personalities, and fabulous wine. After your trip, we’ll send you a photo CD capturing the day with your friends. Cost: $1,975.00

Following a back roads jaunt, your first stop will be at one of the jewels in Carneros,McKenzie-Mueller Vineyards and Winery. Paired with a sample of artisan cheeses fromRaymond & Company cheese mongers, you will enjoy a full selection of the delicious wines made by veteran Bob Mueller. There is no one in the Napa Valley, in our humble opinion, who knows more about the winemaking process. Bob was with the Robert Mondavi family right from the beginning in the late 60’s when Mr. Mondavi made his historic move to re-build the California wine industry.
You’ll taste lovely white wines such as a Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and then move into the delicate French-styled Rosés. From here, you’ll transition to the Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. These elegant wines are much sought-after by collectors across the U.S.
Our second stop is all about the legacy of California winemaking. Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars was one of the two wineries to top the French in the international competitive tasting now known as the Judgment of Paris in 1976.
This tasting session includes a tour of the property and view of the historic Faye Vineyard which launched the winery founded by Warren Winiarski. You’ll savor the famed Bordeaux wines that put the Napa Valley and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars on the map included the renowned Cask 23. The wines are paired with a substantial culinary endeavor prepared by the winery’s private chef.
